The place

A former sheepfold restored by the commune of Gémenos, at 565 m in the Sainte-Baume massif (Bouches-du-Rhône). Unstaffed hut open year-round, easily reached via a track. In generally good condition: tables, chairs and a working fireplace, with the option to eat inside or outside. A fine cave at the far end of the valley. Open access, first come first served.
