Cabane de Parrioune

The place

Hut at 1240 m in the Préalpes de Haute-Provence (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), built in 1981 to replace the Cabane de la Pigière, by the commune of Moriez. Front room with table and chairs, bedroom at the back and upstairs with 4 rather worn mattresses. No dishes. Vandalised door. Access at the end of the Parrioune track starting from the village of Moriez via the Saint-Firmin quarter, ending at the hut 5 km from Moriez — open track, generally in good condition. Base for climbing to Parrioune, doing the Aup loop, or crossing towards Gévaudan or Senez.
