The place
A curious improvised hut at 1140 m to the left of a trail in the Vercors massif: an old caravan clad in wood, with sheet metal for a roof. The plastic windows are broken. A covered wooden terrace with a basic table outside. Very basic, but lets you spend a night sheltered from wind and rain — cold and rather grubby in winter. Metal barbecue, chairs, table, a few utensils, crockery and spices. No water nearby. Listed on refuges.info among the Vercors' unstaffed huts.
