The place

Unguarded cabin at 1090 m, municipality of Fos (Haute-Garonne, Comminges, Pyrenees), in the Saint-Béat valley, accessible via the GR 10 near Bagnères-de-Luchon. Owned by the Fos town hall, with no permanent warden. Capacity 3 people, summer and winter alike: 2 bunk beds with 4 mattresses, fireplace, kitchen utensils (pots, tripod), table with benches, wood nearby. Spring right next to it, additional catchment 200 m away. Hike from Fos: 7 km, 814 m elevation gain, about 3 hours climbing.
