The place

Small stone hut at about 1800 m at the foot of the Spanish side of the Vignemale, in the commune of Torla (Huesca, Aragon, Spain), on the banks of the Ara river. Shepherd's hut serving as shelter in cold or rainy weather. Two compartments for about 10 people total, the left compartment being in better condition. No tables, benches or mattresses. Access from San Nicolás de Bujaruelo in about 3h45 via the enclosed Ara valley, over 9 km with 650 m of elevation gain. The Vignemale rises 3 km to the north.
