Standard DOC hut with 16 bunks at 2 m elevation in Rakiura National Park on Stewart Island/Rakiura (Southland, NZ). Access via the North West Circuit or by water taxi. Neighbouring huts: Port William Hut 3-4 h on the NWC, Christmas Village Hut 6 h. Boil water before use: large rat population. No booking, payment by DOC tickets in the honesty box or Backcountry Hut Pass.
