Bivouac du col de Susanfe

The place

Small metal cabin at 2460 m near the Col de Susanfe (2494 m), in the Dents du Midi massif (Valais, Switzerland). Emergency bivouac box a few metres below the pass on the east side. Access via the Vallon de Van or via Champéry — a difficult T4 path (alpine grade per CAS) starting from Van d'En Haut at Salvan, 22 km and 1635 m of elevation gain, or about 9.3 km / 3 h to reach the cabin.
