The place
Unstaffed Swiss Alpine Club bivouac at 3,179 m on a rocky spur in the Val de Bagnes, Valais. Managed by the CAS Chasseron section, opened in 1970, it offers twelve beds without lighting or bedding, equipped for cooking. About eighty overnight stays per year, mainly in winter for ski touring. A stage between the Cabane des Vignettes (Arolla), the Cabane de Chanrion (Mauvoisin), and the crossing towards Valpelline (Aosta, Italy) via the Col de Crête Sèche.
