The place

Sheepfold at 1800 m in the Préalpes de Grasse (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), near the Teillon ridge, on the boundary between the Verdon Regional Park and the Préalpes d'Azur Regional Nature Park. Occupied by a shepherdess in summer, freely accessible from early September to end of May. Access via a trail from Castellane taking the bottom of a ravine south of the summit; the route via La Garde, La Chapelle and Teillon has been reopened after a rockfall diverted the trail.
