A hut at 1355 m in the Mount Hood National Forest (Oregon, United States), with sweeping views over the White River Valley. Part of the Cascade Huts network. Sleeps 5 on padded bunk beds with 0°F sleeping bags provided (bring your own liner). Amenities: outdoor toilet, propane heating, a kitchen counter with a propane stove and lamps — propane heating provided in winter. A 15.5 km (9.6 mile) round-trip trek, 427 m (1400 ft) of total elevation gain. Starting point: the north-east side of the Barlow Pass Sno-Park; head up the Barlow Ridge Road under the snow for lovely views of Mt Hood and the White River Valley. A great outing for snowshoers or experienced cross-country skiers.
