Baraque Guillet

The place

Forest hut at 1410 m in the Vercors massif (Drôme), commune of Corrençon-en-Vercors. Rebuilt, and carries two names: the original plaque reads "cabane G. Guillet" and a more recent one above the entrance reads "La Coinchette". Access from the place known as Les Auberges, follow the forest path towards La Coinchette on the right; at the bend in the track, about 2 km from Corrençon. Inside: table, bench, two sleeping spots on mattresses. No stove, fireplace, blanket, or water source within 100 m. Access sometimes closed at peak season, rustic but usable structure for the night.
