The place

A freely accessible circular shelter at 1481 m in the Puys-Sancy-Cantal massif (Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park, Puy-de-Dôme). Renovated in 2024 with windows, a door, a small table and 4 to 5 benches. The circular structure protects from the rain but remains exposed to wind from all directions. Access via a yellow-waymarked trail from the Banne d'Ordanche car park. A popular stop on hikes around the Sancy and the surrounding Auvergne volcanic landscape. Unstaffed, first come, first served.
