The place

Unstaffed shelter at 1410 m in the Taillefer-Matheysine area (Isère), easy access provided you look carefully (poor waymarking). Superb panorama over the Dévoluy (Obiou, Grand Ferrand) and the mountains of Valbonnais. On the way back toward the Arboretum, a magnificent view of the eastern Vercors escarpment. Les Treize Bises water point (1370 m) with an intermittent flow nearby.
