The place

Unstaffed shelter at 1115 m in the Préalpes de Haute-Provence. Access via the D17 to the Col de la Croix after the hamlet of Palus, then 2.5 km along the "Croix aux quatre chemins" track to the shelter. Inside: an old rusty stove, 4 chairs, a table and a logbook. Maximum capacity 3 people sleeping on the floor. Water trough nearby. Significant draughts: the roof has no insulation and the stones are bound with cement.
