The place

Unstaffed shelter at 1570 m, completely rebuilt in summer 2024 by the Parc naturel régional du Vercors in partnership with the commune of Lans-en-Vercors. Built from larch sourced from the communal forest, it has two rooms: one set up for eating (table and bench), and a second left empty that can serve as a dormitory for up to 3 people if it isn't being used to store firewood. No stove. Reached via the Col de l'Arc trail from the Barnets car park; the Font Froide spring is immediately nearby, just below the shelter. Replaces an old ruin that was dismantled the same year.
