Le lieu
The Cotswold Way follows the limestone escarpment edge of the Cotswolds AONB from Chipping Campden to Bath, a National Trail since 2007. Its honey-colored limestone villages — Broadway, Stanton, Painswick — sit along a relentlessly undulating route with repeated short, steep climbs on and off the scarp, though nothing technical. The trail passes Neolithic long barrows including Belas Knap, Iron Age hillforts such as Painswick Beacon and Uleybury, and historic sites like Sudeley Castle and Broadway Tower, with views extending to the Malvern Hills and across the Severn Vale into Wales.
