Construit comme Hotel Alpenhof (année de construction divergente selon sources : 1932-33 ou 1934-37), acquis par le DAV en 1990, rénové 1992-93 et 2009-2011.

Gardé, ouvert toute l'année, géré par la JDAV (section jeunesse nationale du DAV). Label environnemental « Umweltgütesiegel » depuis 1997.
