Il luogo

The Tour of Monte Rosa is a demanding circular alpine trek that loops around the Monte Rosa massif, the second-highest peak in the Alps, crossing repeatedly between Switzerland's Valais and Italy's Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions. Over about nine stages it links traditional Walser villages and working mountain huts, crossing two major passes (Theodul and Monte Moro) along with a short glacier crossing, and gaining well over 1,000m on most days. The route is commonly closed via the scenic two-day Europaweg balcony trail and the Charles Kuonen suspension bridge back to Zermatt.
