Standard DOC hut with 6 bunks at 696 m in the Puketeraki Forest Conservation Area (Canterbury, NZ). Access from Lees Valley Road: 4-5 h via the Youngman Stream Track from Oxford. Trails between Tarn Hut and Youngman Stream Hut closed from 1 August to 30 September and throughout April. No booking, payment by DOC tickets in the honesty box or Backcountry Hut Pass.
