Wildseeloderhaus: A Story of Mountain Tradition and Excellence The Wildseeloderhaus is a refuge run by the Fieberbrunn section of the Österreichischer Alpenverein, nestled beneath the Wildseeloder in the Kitzbühel Alps in Austria. Geographic Setting The refuge sits in a cirque-shaped hollow by a small mountain lake, the Wildsee, between the Henne and Wildseeloder summits above Fieberbrunn in the Pillerseetal valley. It is the starting point for many tours in the eastern Kitzbühel Alps. The house offers a striking view of the southern cliffs of the Loferer Steinberge mountains. History Built in 1892 as a joint effort between the Fieberbrunn section of the DuOeAV and the Fieberbrunn beautification association, the refuge has been the Alpenverein's sole property since 1899. The chapel was renovated in 1963, followed by a full renovation and extension in 1970. A further remodelling took place in 2008. Access Routes Using the cable car up to the Lärchfilzkogel (1654 m) in 1½ hours from the cable car station. From Fieberbrunn in 3½ hours via trail AV 711. From the Lärchfilzhochalm in 1½-2 hours.
