The place
Basic four-bunk DOC hut at 588 m in Pureora Forest Park (Waikato, Waitomo-Pureora area). Free, open access. From Otorohanga, follow Otewa Road to Waimahora Road, then Owawenga Road; short walk from the road. No official track serves the hut, but there are numerous hunters' trails in the area.
