Former DOC hut on the Lake Waikaremoana Track in Te Urewera (East Coast). **Decommissioned by Te Uru Taumatua – Ngāi Tūhoe** (29 huts burned in 2022 across the park, demolitions ruled illegal by the High Court in 2023, TUT appeal withdrawn late 2023). Status to be confirmed with the Te Urewera Visitor Centre (+64 6 837 3803, teureweravc@ngaituhoe.iwi.nz).
