The place

Basic 6-bunk DOC hut at 202 m in the Doubtful Sound/Patea area, Fiordland National Park (West Coast). NZD10 per adult per night, NZD5 for ages 5-17, free below, payable via standard tickets deposited on site or annual Backcountry Hut Pass. No booking. Didymo present in Lake Manapouri and the Waiau River but absent from nearby waterways: do not transport water between sites to limit spread. Map CD06, NZTM2000 E1152014, N4942643.
