The place

SAC Basel hut at 2,932 m in the Mattertal (Valais), at the foot of the southeast face of the Weisshorn (4,506 m). Exceptional view of the Weisshorn and 18 other 4,000 m peaks of the Valais Alps, frequent ibex sightings. "Klein aber fein" (small but fine): 31 places in summer, 30 in the winter room.
