The place
Waldhütte of Männedorf at Brähenrainweg 1, in the district of Meilen on the right bank of Lake Zurich (canton of Zurich, Switzerland). From the Bergstrasse in Männedorf towards Oetwil, after the shooting range, turn left into the forest at the wooden Asterix and Obelix sculpture in the next bend. Two spaces: a heated "Stube" for ~50 people, an unheated "Schopf" for 60 to 80 people. Equipped kitchen: hot and cold water, electrical connections, a large drinks fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, industrial dishwasher, crockery for 50. 2 toilets (one wheelchair accessible), central pellet heating. Run by the Waldkorporation Männedorf, fully rebuilt in 2011; modest rental rates for parties and corporate events.
