The place
Forest hut ("Waldhütte") set at 655 m in the Malewagwald, on the trail between Biel/Bienne and Evilard/Leubringen (commune of Lyss, Seeland district, canton of Bern, Switzerland). Log-built building available for rent for private or corporate events. Notable position in the hills of the Bernese Seeland, on the edge of Lake Biel and the Old Town of Biel. Outstanding forest setting of the Bernese plateau: beech-fir woods, hedgerow meadows, cultural landscapes typical of Bernese farming (dairy production, AOP Gruyère). Emblematic wildlife: roe deer, wild boar, fox, red squirrel, red kite, peregrine falcon. Located near the trails of the eastern Swiss Jura, the great long-distance routes (Via Berna, SwitzerlandMobility trails) and the themed loops around Lake Biel (Bielersee).
