Basic 4-bunk hut managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in Tararua Forest Park, Wellington/Kapiti region (North Island, New Zealand), at 286 metres elevation. Free access. Access times: 5 h from Akatawara Road end, 3 h 30 from Otaki Forks, 2 h 30 from Renata Hut. Safety alert: active slip 10 minutes' walk along the Waiotauru Track, between Fenceline Track and Snowy River Bridge; use caution in this area.
