The place

10-bunk DOC standard hut in Pureora Forest Park (Waikato, Waitomo area), at 598 m. Located on a clearing overlooking the river, at the junction of the Waihāhā Track and Hauhungaroa Track. No booking required, payment by hut tickets or Backcountry Hut Pass (NZ$10/5 until 30 June 2026).
