Former DOC hut in Te Urewera (east coast, NZ), decommissioned by Te Uru Taumatua / Ngāi Tūhoe as part of the phased withdrawal of DOC huts begun in 2022. 19.89 km from Waiharuru Hut. Camping is still possible on site, but there are no toilets or water source. Self-sufficient bivouac recommended.
