The place

Former mountain pasture hamlet from the 1860s, restored and operated by DNT at 760 m between Sunndalen and Storlidalen in Trollheimen (Trøndelag). Access about 1 h 30 walk from Vollan farm via a marked trail. A complex of four buildings totaling 22-23 beds: Selet (main house with kitchen and common room), Fjøset (twelve beds across three rooms), Eldhuset (six beds with a separate kitchen), Øyabua (three spaces). Self-service with a sign-in register. Facilities: 12V power for lighting and charging, wood stoves, gas cookers, supplies on site, mobile network. Open all year, unlocked. Booking via hyttebestilling.dnt.no, valid until 7 pm on the day. Payment via the DNT app. Dogs allowed only in Øyabua. Sleeping bags not allowed indoors (bring a liner or bedding). Accessible peaks: Ekkertinden (1,189 m), Kråkvasstinden (1,700 m). Fishing in nearby waters.
