Cabane du Risoux: A Historic Refuge at the Heart of the Forest The Cabane du Risoux, built in 1935 within the magnificent Risoux forest, offers 6 sleeping spots, 3 of them on mattresses. This unusual refuge consists of a corridor giving access to several spaces: Interior and Facilities Dining Room: Table, 2 benches, 1 chair, a stool and a large stove. Large Back Room: Empty except for a ladder leading to the attic. Attic: A vast space covering the whole chalet, fitted with 2 mattresses that are often damp (bring a sleeping mat and sleeping bag instead). Rules and Use The Cabane du Risoux operates under the following rules, although they are not posted inside the chalet: Stay limited to one day. Overnight stays strictly forbidden, except in cases of distress. Shared use with other occupants if necessary. Bookings not permitted. Fires only in the stove, taken with care, using wood found in the surrounding area. Obligation to leave the place clean when departing, taking your rubbish with you. Compliance with the rules is monitored by the Municipality and the State foresters. Access and Management The Cabane du Risoux is reached by following the Piguet and Entre les Pierres paths from Derrière la Côte.
