The place

Self-service DNT hytte located at 515 m in Erdalen (Stryn, Vestland), opened in summer 2011 and managed by Indre Nordfjord Turlag. Six beds plus four extra mattresses, living room, kitchen and loft. No running water or electricity; gas stove, wood stove, water drawn from the nearby river. Dogs not allowed inside. No booking possible: payment via Vipps or bank transfer after the stay. Bring your own bedding. About 2 h access via the trail from Erdalen; the newer route via Storesetra, built by sherpas, cuts 30 minutes off the walk. A classic base for glacier hiking on Vetledalsbreen and visiting Infimus (1 h one-way). Discounted rate for DNT members.
