The place

Self-service DNT cabin at 925 m in the municipality of Ringebu (Innlandet), along the Rondane trail between Jammerdalsbu and Djupslia. Two-building complex with sixteen beds in total: an eight-bed main cabin and an eight-bed dog cabin ("sikringshytte"). Facilities: solar power with mobile charging, water available, tent space, wood-burning stoves. Fishing in nearby streams. Summer access: vehicle possible, cycling allowed on mountain roads. Winter access: road to Trikanten (1 km), ski trails from Øksendalen or Teigekrysset. Half the beds can be pre-booked; after 7 pm, unbooked beds become available. Payment for overnight stays and provisions via the DNT app (version 7.0.3+) or paper forms. Dogs allowed only in the sikringshytte. Notable heritage nearby: an old wild reindeer trap with an interpretive sign.
