The place

Unstaffed DNT Gjøvik og Omegn cabin located at 510 m along the Totenåsstien trail in Østre Toten (Oppland). A small one-room building combining kitchen, living room, and sleeping area: four beds on two bunk beds, a countertop with a propane burner, candlelight. Outdoor toilet, woodshed, well water that must be boiled. Mobile coverage present. Advance booking required, access with a standard DNT key. Drivable road all the way to the cabin, accessible in both summer and winter. Summer access via Lygna, Torsætra, or Evjua; in winter via ski trails or by car from Lena. Suitable for families, stroller transport possible. Occasional generator noise possible.
