The place

Self-service DNT cabin operated by DNT Oslo og Omegn, perched on the Venabygdsfjellet plateau (Oppland), about 2 km from the nearest parking. Built in 2019 to replace Gråhøgbu, which was relocated to protect wild reindeer habitat. 15 bunks (8 bookable, 7 walk-in). Kitchen equipped with gas and a wood stove, bedding provided, candle and 12V lighting, drying room. Dog-only room. Trolløypa trail nearby, 3 km of groomed track from Spitsbergseter in winter.
