Vellinsärpimä päivätupa

The place

Free Metsähallitus päivätupa (day hut) located along the Vellinsärpimäoja stream, in Urho Kekkonen National Park near Inari in Finnish Lapland. Built in 1968 as a standard hut, converted to daytime-only use after renovation in 1989. Facilities: stove, table and benches for breaks only, overnight stays are not permitted. In the same yard, an outdoor fire pit (tulipaikka), a woodshed and dry toilets. In winter, accessible via the Latu Saariselkä-Vellinsärpimäoja-Luulampi track; in summer, popular with mountain bikers on Mountain Bike Route 4 (Open Fell Biking, Saariselkä). Dogs allowed on leash per national park rules.
