Veil Bivouac

The place

Basic bivouac, 2 bunks, at 1,002 m in the Rangitata-Rakaia area (Mid & South Canterbury, NZ). Owned and maintained by the NZ Deerstalkers Association — South Canterbury branch. Free, but a donation box is on site for NZDA upkeep. No DOC track: self-reliant navigation with map/compass/GPS. Avoid river crossings when in flood.
