The place

Free Metsähallitus autiotupa in Lemmenjoki National Park, Inari municipality, Finnish Lapland. Six beds, hearth-fireplace and stove for heating, gas cooker for cooking, adjoining sauna for relaxing after the day's hike. No running water or sanitary facilities. Free stopover without booking, in satisfactory condition after a recent renovation (new raised roof, new structure and new floor extending the lifespan by several decades). One of the most remote huts in the park.
