The place

Small wooden Üte of 5 m² at 239 m in the heart of the village of Obersteinbach (Bas-Rhin, Vosges du Nord), between the traditional wash-house and the half-timbered houses. Free stop for hikers on the GR 53 (Traverse of the Vosges Massif). One of eight Ütes installed along the GR 53 between Rott and Eschbourg, with red trim echoing the historic waymarking, and information panels on local history and services. Designed as part of the Landscape Plan using local timber to showcase the legendary route created in 1897.
