Camping available: NZD 10 adult, NZD 5 youth. Backcountry Hut Pass valid only from 1 May to 30 September; camping within 200 m of the hut is permitted year-round. Online booking, availability shown up to 30 June 2027; same-day bookings accepted until 8 pm subject to availability. No space is held for walk-ins without a booking. Distances: John Tait Hut 3 hours away, West Sabine Hut 6-9 hours away. Health risk: invasive lindavia algae in alpine lakes — dry all gear for 48 hours before swimming or taking samples elsewhere.
