The place
A standard DOC hut with 12 bunks at 461 m in western Fiordland. No booking required, payment by DOC hut tickets (blue for adults, yellow for youths) in the honesty box or via Backcountry Hut Pass. Didymo is present in Lake Manapouri and the Waiau River but absent from the Spey: biosecurity precautions must be followed, do not draw water from contaminated sections.
