The setting
From the Aesch tram station, reachable on foot in about 1h20. Follow the hiking trail west to the Klus (Rebberge), then continue southwest to the pass (canton of Basel-Landschaft, Swiss Jura, 47.46°N 7.55°E, 590 m, Switzerland).
