The place

Txerri borda (“pig's borda” in Basque) at 1027 m in northern Navarre (coordinates 42.81°N 1.97°W, Aezkoa or Salazar valley, Navarrese Pyrenees, Spain). A borda is a traditional Basque pastoral cabin used by shepherds (artzaiak) during summer transhumance (May to October). “Txerri” means pig — possibly a former alpine pigsty.
