The place

Self-service cabin of Voss Utferdslag (DNT) in Vossafjella, about 7 km north of Lønahorgi (Vestland, Norway), on the shore of Øvsta Piksvatnet at about 1,060 meters altitude. A pair of buildings: a main 11-bed cabin built in 2021, and a sel (traditional mountain pasture cabin) with 6 beds, 17 beds total. Common living area with wood stove, fully equipped kitchen, pillows and duvets provided. Refuge open year-round, unstaffed. Located between Voss and Eksingedalen, at the boundary of Stølsheimen-Bergsdalen-Vossafjelli.
