The place
Kota (day-use tipi shelter) built in autumn 2018 by Metsähallitus on the Tuomikuru viewpoint, on the eastern slope of Yllästunturi (Kolari municipality, Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, Lapland). Outdoor fire pit, dry toilets, woodshed, wooden swing, and balance beam for children. No sleeping accommodation.

On the Tuomikurun kierros trail (6.1 km) starting from Ylläsjärvi. View of the village of Ylläsjärvi and Kumputunturi (Kittilä). Stream below for refilling water bottles.
