The place

A self-service cabin managed by Troms Turlag (DNT) at 255 metres elevation, on the road between Snarby and Oldervik (Troms, northern Norway). Sixteen bunks total, split across four four-bed rooms. Solar-panel electricity for lighting. All Troms Turlag cabins are equipped with a wood stove, gas cooker and cooking gear. Very easy vehicle access from the road, an ideal starting point for trips into the interior and southwest toward Tromsø, especially by ski. The northeasternmost of four cabins on the popular Snarbyeidet-Tromsdalen trail. DNT membership required for at least one member of the group (DNT key). No mobile coverage.
