Trodla-Tysdal turiststasjon

The place

Mountain tourist station on Rogaland's most remote farm (Hjelmeland municipality), at the inner end of Øvre Tysdalsvatnet. Active farming operation (sheep and tourism), surrounded by wild nature with peaks up to 900 m, a salmon river, and trout lakes. **Self-service lodge built in 1996**, capacity 20 beds in 5 rooms. Privately managed but DNT members can book. Access from Kleivaland: ~3 h one-way for adults, 4-5 h with children. Best season April to October.
