Trekkinghütte "Willys Ruh"
The place

A former border cabin whose main structure is over 100 years old, it was named “Willys Ruh” in honor of Willy Müller, the forest ranger of this area in the 1960s. The hut can accommodate around twenty people: ten on sleeping platforms on the ground floor and at least ten in the recently renovated mezzanine. Tiled stove with open hearth in the main room, fireplace in the dormitory, outdoor dry toilets. Reservation via trekking ticket (€10 adult, €1 child up to 17). Open April to October. Access on foot or by bike only via forest paths — vehicle access forbidden. A stage on the Forststeig Elbsandstein, a 100 km long-distance trail in Saxon Switzerland.
