Træet gård
The place
DNT hut on the island of Osterøy (Hordaland, near Bergen, Norway). A genuine small farm from the early 1900s, immersed in a green cultural landscape and quiet forest — a visit feels like a journey back in time for body and mind. About 1.5 hours from Bergen to the Blomdalsleitet car park (235 m), then a 900 m walk to the cabin. No electricity or running water installed: gas stove, wood heating, outdoor toilet, solar panels for basic lighting and candles. Available: rowboat, canoe, outdoor grill, outdoor fire pit, shelter, indoor and outdoor games. Fishing at Torvavatnet, even better at nearby Blomdalsvatnet. Marked trails from Blomdalsleitet to Høgafjellet and Rispingen; a fine historic crossing along the Stabbesteinsvegen from the cabin to Grøttå on the coast. Locked, year-round access with a DNT key (to be collected at the visitor centre).
