Toraslampi autiotupa

The place

Free hut (autiotupa) managed by Metsähallitus, 8 km north of Syöte, on the shore of Lake Toraslampi, in Syöte National Park (North Ostrobothnia, near Finnish Lapland). Originally the sauna building of a hunters' cabin (kämppä), renovated in 2001 for its current use. Open year-round, free and shared accommodation for self-sufficient hikers. A stop on the Toraslampi Loop: a chance to walk through the national park's pine forests and riparian woodlands and spend the night beside a small wild lake.
